Alright Maia, here's the deal. I am the biggest freakin Canucks fan you will ever meet in your life. It's almost to the degree that it's a sickness. I would give the whole right side of my body to see the Canucks. Last year I lived in Manitoba and I listened to every game on the radio through the internet, when I couldn't watch it. Most people thought I was crazy and most girls were disturbed by my obsession, but I gotta say, it was worth it. I'll tell you a little story, actually a few little stories. Last year, we planned to watch opening night at a friend's house, and just picture me dying for it after a year off (remember a sickness). Anyways, we were at my friends house with his big screen tv, and who would've guessed it we get a blizzard and the power goes out. Everyone else was like "oh well" but not me. I was mad, they tried to play a game and I ruined it as best I could. We ended up driving back to dorm after I frustrated everyone so much, because I thought maybe the power would be on there. It was but, we couldn't get the game in the school. So we ran to a house of a guy who was at living on campus. He was watching another game, and when the Canucks game was on, we were forced to leave (long story) so I ran back to dorm and listened to the very end of it on the radio through the internet. Please don't make me experience that again(preseason means very much to me as well). Okay thats the first one. Here's another one, me and my friends at school wanted to go to a Canucks game, actually I wanted to go to a Canucks game, my friends wouldve gone to any one. The Canucks were playing in Minnesota so we bought tickets and drove all the way down there and made a weekend out of it. It was like the 5th game of the season and Bertuzzi scored his first goal of the season. Oh how glorious it was. I was covered in Canucks stuff with all the Minnesota fans in front of me. Every time the canucks scored I went nuts and waved my flag in the other fans faces. It was the best time of my life, I even had some lady at the end of the game say something under her breath about me, that I will not repeat here. You see Maia, I am the most devoted Canucks fan ever, and I'll give you this ultimatum. You can ask me any question about the Canucks, and if I get it wrong, I do not deserve to go to this game. Oh and by the way, please give everyone an equal shot. The thing about being a Canucks fan is that you have to want others to join the club and I don't want to stop anyone from becoming a Canucks fan. All I have left to say is Go Canucks Go.
Thanks,
Adam Ratcliffe
hokey crap!! good story adam. you are definitely entered into the draw. good luck :)
I think you need to take adam
Enough said
DUDE DON'T take ADAM! TAKE ME!! I have been a devoted friend for years!!!! and you know what!?! Ive NEVER BEEN!! ...i mean we were pregnant together! what else can i say... huh good ol' buddy ...ol' pal ..i've NEVER EVER BEEN adn would LOVE for you to be the first person to take me to a game. I'd be honored...and we'd have so much fun..GONG SHOW ..need i say more.
*clarification for all others reading...we weren't actually prego...**
I still think you need to take Adam... Nobody wants to feel this kid's disappointment. He might rage and hurt us all. I don't want to get hurt, I have a lot of living left to do.
Anywho, I said I would tell a story.
So this one time my dog ran away from our farm in Alberta. We saw him running for three days across the big open prairie. He came back on the fourth day, tired, hungry, and happy to be home... And then we played hockey on our frozen dugout. That's my story about hockey.
DUDE! I haven't been around NHL for 3 YEARS!!! I am STAAAAAARVING for some good ol' Canadian hockey, especially the NHL.
But I will pray about it and let the Lord's will be done! lol.
Tyco Montoyo
p.s. I think Adam's full of crap... j/k
are you going to take that adam??
due to the fact that Corrie does not have internet access, I am submitting a draw entry for her...
hey maia... i made it to your blog. i would be greatful if you entered me into your drawing (though a part of me feels that adam perhaps ought to go... its a sickness... A SICKNESS! haha)
but just the same i might as well shoot for the 'one-up,' cuase honestly, competition is more fun.
why a 'one-up' for erin would be sweet. well, i am going to have to start with the most obvious reason... POLITICS. I am a canadian-at-heart despite what my visa says, which means this is an opportunity for me to 'one-up' those dang americans... "HA!" i say to them "CANADA KNOWS TRUE SPORTING!"
Second reason, hey its also an opportunity for you to 'one-up' them dang americans. "HA!" you will say... "I HAVE CORRUPTED YOUR CITIZEN, AND BROUGHT HER TO TRUTH AND REAL SPORTING JOY!"
Third reason... if you, maia, were to choose me for the golden ticket, i vow to make a profession of candaian goodness (you can write the speech) to which every persons you wish me too, whether canadain or a dang american. If you want me to fake-tattoo it, or call all my american friends/family, or whatever you most excellent imagination can come up with... its your choice... i am your puppet for the weekend (or possibly longer if thats what it takes to get the ticket).
fourth reason... dang america, always acting like they are better than you guys...
ok, love ya lots... maybe we should to it like the Bible story... you can threaten to tear up the ticket... and the 'choosen one' will give you the correct response (which i won't mention here... so as to reserve my potential in being the 'choosen one.'
lov'n form the oven.

I'll take anything from Tyson. I love you buddy. Anywho, I said everyone deserves an equal chance as all people deserve the oppurtunity to believe in the Canucks, the same as I believe *tears streaming down my cheeks*
Thanks,
Adam
cont'd - while waving both a Canucks flag and Canadian flag simultaneously.
Hey Maia,
So i am very sorry that my brother is harassing your ticket like this! Maybe he has a little too much Canuck's pride in his blood. But then again, maybe you can never have too much Canuck's pride. So i am pretty sure my dad said that he should go, but don't worry you can just take me instead. So this is my story just cause everyone needs a story! So a few years back my family won a 10 game ice pack to the Vancouver Canucks. At this time i love hockey just like i do now, but i can honestly say i will probably never be as hard-core as my brothers. But anyways we got these tickets and they were divided into three games each for all of my brothers. So there was one ticket left, and i was all excited because i thought this is finally my chance to go to a canucks game. To my disappointment my parents decided that Kevin should get the extra ticket cause we won the tickets on his birthday. Now as you can image this crushed me and too this day i remember that story and tears stream down my face when i think about it. And don't worry if you take me we will have the time of our lives and we can definitely wear everything canucks you can think of!!!!!
Adam's full of Crap... Don't listen to him! He's out of the will now.
I think you should take me...just because I am the biggest non-canuck fan and it would be fun to be rivals for the game. I won't boo them...I promise! And besides, who else would you rather take than you're bestest friend on the whole entire planet? Did I mention I'd fly? Flapping my wings right now...just say the word!
Oh...and I updated my blog...sexy pictures of you kissing a not-so-random stranger on the street. You should check it out...
I think Tyson's full of crap, I know it's you sayin those things.
And bean bag chair person, I don't know you, and I am sure you're a great person, but right now I am shedding multiple tears for you. I am weaping, if you will. Canucks for life!
'bean bag chair' is anne from ontario!! she is a leafs fan (booooo)
I can't believe you just booed me Maia...you western folks have an inferiority complex or something! Just because I don't share in your Canuck fever, doesn't mean I don't support the Canadian teams (unlike some other fans I know...) If only you guys could only see past yourselves...you're starting to hav an epicenter mentality! I think you should give the ticket to Erin...you get to be a goddess! And she's just super cool fun anyway...and no...she didn't pay me to say that.
LOL...it's not a goddesss...forget taking Erin!
haha, i just realized that the 24th is THIS sunday!! crazy!! i'll be conducting my draw very shortly...
Anne,
Inferiority complex? I think we're a bit ticked because we give more money to you easterners than what you give back to us... all to support your french cause... how DARE you keep Canada's culture alive and thick!
Adam,
I will eat you.
p.s. let's hang... what's yo digits?
tyco!! update your blog already!! i'm tired of seeing my face...haha
anne... i was jusst about to give yyou a hug.. and then you went and retracted the statement...
i jsut want to loooove you annnne!
